BSR Energy is looking to develop Rushwall Farm Solar Park. This project, if permitted, will export 50MW of solar photovoltaic energy to the electricity network.
This solar park will produce enough clean renewable electricity to power 15,000 homes per year, a saving of 21,500 CO² *.
As the project is located within the Gwent Levels, we are undertaking a number of detailed ecology surveys to understand the flora and fauna within the site.
The solar park will feature the latest technology from the industry, with a primary focus to maximise the yield over the given area.
* For every 5MW installed, a solar farm will power over 1,515 homes annually (based on an average annual consumption of 3,300 kWh of electricity for a house) and save 2,150 tonnes of CO2. Approximately 25 acres of land is required for every 5 megawatts (MW) of installation.
